Hobart AirForce 500i and 700i portable air plasma cutters

The AirForce 500i and AirForce 700i portable air plasma cutters come with Hobart’s 16.5 ft ergonomic hand-held torch; designed for increased comfort, more efficient post-flow air cooling and two tips, two electrodes, and a cable management strap for easy transportation. The AirForce 500i requires a 3 CFM gas flow/pressure at 90 to 120 psi. The AirForce 700i requires 4.8 CFM at 90 to 120 psi. The 500i weighs 27.8 lb and has the ability to plug into standard 115 or 230 VAC power receptacles using the included Multi-Voltage Plug. Its 27 amp output offers cutting performance on sheet metal and ⅜" mild steel, slicing at 14 ipm. The 700i weighs 31.4 lb, operating on 230V input power. CMM Software Upgrade

Renishaw OMV Pro software revision

Renishaw's OMV Pro software that includes more advanced CMM-style capabilities with an extended range of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing functionality, plus the ability to work with multiple alignments in a single program. Supporting Microsoft Windows Vista, OMV Pro 2.02 lets users of machine tool touch probes verify the accuracy of freeform and prismatic parts without removing the part from the machine. The software includes simulation capability, a graphical interface, and a reporting format accessible to shop-floor staff. The WinnII press brake technology from Toyokoki, available through Mitsubishi

The WinnII press brake technology from Toyokoki, available through Mitsubishi, is a hybrid press brake delivering an average annual savings of up to $700 in electricity costs. It requires about 1/3 of the amount of hydraulic oil of other press brakes, according to Mitsubishi and features a 15" Mitsubishi 3D touch screen Windows XP controller, which allows direct connection to a factory network to upload and download programs. One-shot Lube

DX Series vertical milling machines from Dalian

The DX Series vertical milling machines from Dalian come with such features as a one-shot lubrication system that lubricates all guideways and ballscrews. The body is made from treated high-grade cast iron, with hardened and ground X and Y guideways that are coated with Turcite-B. The machines feature X and Y axis ballscrews, guideways, a heavy-duty alloy spindle, precision angular spindle bearings, and a high-grade phosphor bronze nut for wear-resistance. The head can swing 90º left, right, 45º front and back, and rotate 360º horizontally. The chrome and molybdenum spindle runs in Class 5 precision angular bearings. Kalamazoo Industries Model K12-14V abrasive cut-off saw

The Kalamazoo Industries Model K12-14V abrasive cut-off saw is designed for large, heavy-duty sawing applications. Using either a 12" or 14" abrasive wheel, the saw can accept up to 2½" solid stock and up to 3" shapes. The saw features a DCV-6 dust collector /v acuum and hood rated at 400 CFM, a washable filter element and sealed ball bearings. Other features include a dual V-belt drive, heavy-duty cast iron arm and trunnion, a quick-lock swivel vise; a 5 hp, 1,725 rpm, 3-phase 220 / 440 V motor; a 1" spindle arbor; and manual switches on both the saw and the dust collector.
