Here’s using your head (handle)
Marposs Corp. introduces the i-Wave, a wireless device in the M1 Star bore gauge product line. The wireless handle allows quick and easy “plug-and-play” changeover of a variety of mechanical gauge heads without any tools. The handle features a StarLock locking device, a mechanical interface that allows connecting new and existing gauges to the world of wireless gauging. It was developed to work in severe shop floor conditions. Standard alkaline C batteries provide more than 220 continuous hours of working time. By pushing the button on the handle, the device communicates with the electronic display, showing the acquired value. The measuring value is transmitted to the electronic unit via Bluetooth to a maximum 10 meter distance. The same button is also used to accomplish step functions or the control advanced cycles and guided sequences. Any which way you can
Stanley Proto replaces its line of universal sockets with a new socket design. The line consists of the Proto and the Blackhawk lines. These items offer increased strength and reduced chance of foreign object damage to equipment compared to the company’s previous offerings. The new sockets include ¼”, ⅜”, and ½” drives with sockets in metric and SAE sizes.
Borer is no snorer
Yasda Precision America Corp. unveiled the YBM-Vi40, a 5-axis jig borer. The ability to tilt the work piece with the borer reduces cutter length requirements. It offers cutting feed rates were 2,000 mm/min and surface roughness was Ra 0.25 µm versus Ra 0.90 µm. The YBM-Vi40 is equipped with a Thermal Distortion Stabilized System: by circulating temperature-controlled oil through the machine body and trunnion frame, thermal displacement of each axis is minimized. Five-axis machining options include 3+2 axes [3 axes simultaneous machining by fixing the index angles of B/C-axes] and 4+1 axes [4-axes simultaneous machining by fixing the index angle of B-axes] and all axes simultaneous machining. Specifications include spindle speeds up to 24,000 rpm; rapid traverse rates of 20,000 mm/min on X-, Y-, and Z-axis / 100 rpm on the C-axis / 20 rpm on the B-axis; travels of 900 mm on the X-axis / 500 mm with limitations on the Y-axis / 450 mm on the Z-axis, and a table working surface of 400 mm diameter with a 200 kg load capacity. Comfort at up to 200 amps
For welders who like TIG torch comfort and maneuverability, Weldcraft offers two air-cooled models from its Crafter Series: the CS125A and CS200A. Featuring lightweight torch bodies, both models provide reliable welding capabilities. The torches both feature D-Handle design, which lets welding operators orient the torch by feel. Each provides air-cooling capacity, eliminating the need for complex water-cooled systems. The CS125A is rated at 130 amps DC and 100 amps AC at 60 percent duty cycle and is available with a two-piece power cable or Weldcraft’s one-piece Mono-Flex power cable. The CS200A provides 200 amps DC or 150 amps AC welding capacity at 60 percent duty cycle and is available with a two-piece power cable. For more information e-mail the company or call 800.752.7620. |
