Until it’s measured, it just opinion
Renishaw’s MODUS CMM software application combines with the company’s UCC2 universal CMM controller and a range of sensors, including the REVO 5-axis measuring system, to form a single-source CMM retrofit package, installed and supported by the company. MODUS provides a platform for 5-axis measurement. Key features include CAD-driven offline programming with full simulation and collision detection of 5-axis moves; native DMIS support; certified mathematical algorithms; text and graphical reporting; and flexible output of results data. The UCC2 universal CMM controller is supported via the I++ DME interface. The application features a configurable user interface allowing development of native DMIS programs offline. Programs can be created directly from CAD with on-screen probe path verification.
A real cut-up
The Kalamazoo Industries Model KM14SC mitre saw uses a 14" carbide tipped blade to produce cuts without burrs or heat generation. This allows precise dry cutting of thin-wall mild steel and aluminum, as well as 1/4" angle, pipe and structural steel. The saw features cast iron construction, a 1,300 rpm spindle speed, a 1" arbor, sealed ball bearings, dual V-belt drive, dual camlock vises, and an OSHA safety guard that retracts when cutting. Capacities are 4-1/2" at 90° and 4"×3.5" at 45°. Phone 269.382.2050.

Eriez introduces its Lift Magnet Selection Guide, a reference to help customers find the right lift magnet to meet their needs. The guide helps users select lift magnets for a range of applications. Available in ceramic and rare earth models, SafeHold magnets lift up to 10,000 pounds, need no external power source, and can be turned on and off. The guide highlights the product line. Lift magnet considerations, including material shape, carbon content, surface condition, sag, load factors, capacity, and more are covered in the guide. Pictures, tables, and graphs are incorporated. For more information or a free copy of the guide, go to the Eriez website or call 888.300.3743 and request brochure MB-2310. |
