Conforma Clad is a provider of wear-protection solutions to high-performance
industrial markets. Its tungsten carbide cladding has been shown in field tests
to extend the life of high-wear industrial components such as coal-burner
nozzles and popcorn screens used in power plants. Conforma Clad cladding now is
available for cast-iron components, such as valves and pump housings used in
chemical, paper, and other process industries. According to the company,
abrasion test results show an eight to 10 time improvement with the cladding,
compared to uncoated ductile iron, while tensile strength improved up to 10
percent.

Chukar’s Waterjet Cyclone abrasive removal

cyclonic garnet extraction machine that removes up to 10 pounds of garnet
abrasive per minute from any waterjet cutting system, according to the company.
The system features a one-yard hopper that requires 25 ft2
of floor space. It can be custom-sized for any waterjet tank. It can operate
unattended and requires no machine downtime to remove abrasive. The only moving

Tregaskiss Surestart Contact Tips

Tregaskiss
offers its Surestart Contact Tips to reduce arc start failures that can lead to
rework and downtime in robotic welding applications. According the company, in
field trials and R&D lab tests, the tips reduce arc start failures by up to 50
percent and prevented early, unexpected burn backs. The contact tips are useful
for applications with a high volume of tacking and short welds using solid wire
in Constant Voltage – CV – welding modes. The tips come in 20-count blister
packages, which offer protection against welding environment contaminants and
can be stocked in facility vending machines. The Surestart Contact Tips are
designed for use on Tough Gun Robotic MIG Guns, and are part of Tregaskiss’
patented Tough Lock Contact Tip family. They can be paired with Tregaskiss’
Tough Lock Retaining Heads and offer all the same features as Tough Lock Contact
Tips, including a dual lead-thread design that lets them rotate 180° to create a

offers a lower-cost 100 hp, 60,000-psi waterjet pump, the iP60-100S. Priced at
$62,500, it is a single intensifier version of the company’s 100 hp waterjet
pump. By eliminating the second intensifier, the company can offer a lower
price. The iP60-100S waterjet intensifier pump produces 2 gpm of ultra-high
pressure water for waterjet cutting, water blasting, cleaning, and surface
preparation applications. It supports orifices up to 0.021”. It features a
tie-rod design which has no threaded cylinder, no threaded end caps, and no
threaded hydraulic cylinder, making it less prone to cracking than threaded
designs. Matched-metal components prevent galling of hydraulic system
components. The water jet pumps feature hydraulic accumulators, which reduce
wear on the hydraulic pump. Hydraulic fluid also is cooled and filtered. The
pumps feature a hydraulic center section which incorporates high-duty
cycle-rated piston seal and wear rings; the free-floating self-aligning plungers
